Thank you for your interest in joining SGDA! We're always looking for passionate, dedicated students to join our interdisciplinary team. Having been founded just last spring, we're excited to have new members on board who can help build us up — leading to endless opportunities for growth and impact.

To join SGDA, you must be a currently enrolled student at Stanford University. While our organization has an undergraduate focus, we welcome the expertise and involvement of graduate students. SGDA welcomes all interested students to join us regardless of previous experience and expertise — we're all learning here, and our organization's mission is to bring students together for that purpose.

We welcome students interested in all levels of commitment — from popping into events a couple times a quarter to directing major projects. Just mention below what role you envision, and we'll try our best to accommodate you.

The short form below is designed as an opportunity to tell us more about yourself and what you hope to get out of SGDA. No interested student will be turned away from the team. We expect the form will take 10-15 minutes total to fill out thoughtfully and completely. To further contact our team, please email Nick Shankar, Co-President of SGDA, at shankar8@stanford.edu.

You can write as much or little as you want. We're just hoping to get a better idea of students are looking for, so we can adapt our programs to your interests.
What level of commitment would you be (realistically) willing to put in for SGDA? *
Within SGDA, which group are you most interested in joining? *
Do you hope to have a formal leadership role in SGDA to start early or mid fall quarter? *
Students in leadership roles will be expected to commit approximately 3-5 hours/week on average to SGDA. We have a limited number of VP and other positions available. While we primarily envision upperclassmen in leadership roles this year, exceptional or highly dedicated freshmen will also be considered.
Our organization is new, so we're looking for new ideas. If you have any that you'd be up for taking the lead on or helping with, we're all ears. As long as it's at least somewhat connected to international development, we want to provide you with the resources and support to make your vision happen.
